Cauliflower Shawarma Recipe

Here's a simple Cauliflower Shawarma recipe that's easy to make and packed with flavor!

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into florets

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tsp ground cumin

  • 1 tsp ground coriander

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp turmeric

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

  • Juice of ½ lemon

For Serving (Optional):

  • Warm pita or flatbread

  • Hummus or tahini sauce

  • Sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, and red onion

  • Fresh parsley or cilantro

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, mix olive oil, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne.

  3. Add cauliflower florets and toss to coat evenly.

  4. Spread on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy on the edges.

  5. Squeeze lemon juice over the roasted cauliflower.

  6. Serve in warm pita with hummus or tahini sauce and fresh veggies.
