Tips For A Healthy Pregnancy

Here are a few good habits I have maintained and feel have made a positive impact on my mind and body throughout my pregnancies...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  1. Eating a CLEAN diet. Mostly PLANTS, occasional fish, lots of fruit, whole grains, beans and avoided processed foods as much as possible.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  2. Practicing meditation. Before I would find it difficult to sit still for 2 minutes. Now I am more than content for 20 minutes at a time and sometimes multiple times per day! I highly recommend the @balance meditation app which has helped me get to this point.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  3. Reading more. I swapped out my TV watching, Facebook scrolling habits for some good ole fashioned page turners. I have found so much enjoyment from reading books. Lately, I have been reading multiple at a time; 1 informative, 1 personal development and 1 fictional/fun book. This way no matter what mood I’m in there is always something that will engage me.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  4. Staying active. Obtaining my step goal and getting in some form of exercise regularly throughout the week has become an absolute priority for me to ensure I stay fit and hopefully decrease my recovery time postpartum. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Whatever you decide works for you and your babe, ENJOY this unique experience and connection you have with your unborn child. Life as you know it will never be the same once they make their entrance into this world and its for the better!⠀⠀

Prioritizing your health should not have to wait until you are postpartum. There is not better time to implement healthful habits then during your pregnancy when your body needs to be functioning optimally! Schedule a free health consultation to get started on your healthy journey today!
